There are various forms of employment, which means that the employment relationship can be differently arranged by contract. It is possible to distinguish occupations according to distinct criterions and types.

There is a difference between full-time employment and part-time employment depending on the weekly working hours.

A minor employment does not depend on the duration of working hours, but is defined on the annual income. This annual income must not exceed a predetermined limit.

People who are employed are employees and need to be paid for their employment by their employers.

Self-employed people are owners or co-owners of the company they work for.

New self-employed people do not need a trade certificate for their free-lance work. They often work in creative professions (like the film industry).

Apprentice/Trainees are people who complete their professional training in a company or institution.

Voluntary workers complete a training or further education. They mostly do not get paid, because they are not subjected to accurately defined training arrangements
